Café for Meadowbank

Introduce a café at Meadowbank and enhance the childrens play facilities already at the park.

Green Belt

Protect the Green Belt against inappropriate and unsustainable development such as oil drilling and industrial installations close to residential homes, and additional golf courses.

Gatwick

Restore the previous flight paths from Gatwick Airport to reduce aircraft noise over residential areas and oppose the development of a second runway.

The Built Environment

Oppose the conversion of high quality offices in Dorking into expensive residential accommodation which will not help solve the problem of the shortage of affordable housing for local people.

Parking

Backed residents in Church Street and North Street seeking to ensure that their Residents Parking Scheme run by the District Council had similar charges to the on-road Residents Parking schemes run by the County Council.

Cycling

Balance the rights of residents, cyclists, horseriders and other road users – with regulation for sportives and investment in cycling infrastructure such as the Leith Hill mountain bike trail.

Traffic Speed

Introduce safer speed limits on village roads with a policy of “20’s Plenty” outside schools and in residential areas where homes front onto roads without a pavement.

 Broadband

Campaign to ensure that “superfast broadband” services are provided to all premises by the broadband operators as part of the rollout of the superfast broadband service across Surrey.

Flooding

Work with the County Council and the Environment Agency to introduce the necessary flood prevention measures in the Middle Mole area to prevent a recurrence of the flooding experienced over Christmas 2013.
